Microsoft launches Channel 9
As announced at the MVP Summit, Microsoft has launched a new program for bringing insights into their platforms and technologies to the masses: Channel 9, a set of video interviews hosted by Robert Scoble with various members of the Microsoft implementation staff (engineers, architects, and so on).
Hear interesting answers to questions like, "Why doesn't Microsoft have complete transparency on its development cycles [more specs, source code, etc]?", and "What is the most important operating system?" (Hint: it's not Windows, it's not MacOS, and it's not any operating system you've ever heard of before.)
A great experiment in visibility into developers' minds at Microsoft. Must-see stuff for developers looking for insight into how Microsoft engineers see the world.

Critical Error: DataProvider The dataprovider class "SqlForumsProvider" could not be loaded. Please contact your forums administrator. A technical explanation of why this error is casused is below.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The forums expects to load a data abstraction layer (DAL) class; in this case: SqlForumsProvider. This DAL is used to communicate to whatever datastore you are using for the ASP.NET Forums (the default data store class is SqlDataProvider). This class requires that certain methods and properties are implemented as it inherits these from the class below: AspNetForums.Components.ForumsDataProvider.cs
In this case, the ForumsDataProvider class defines methods and/or properties that are missing in SqlForumsProvider. Please open your data provider class and attempt to recompile. You should get detailed compilation errors noting the missing methods/properties.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information you can also visit http://forums.asp.net the home of the ASP.NET Forums development team.
